At APEX Mobility and Motion Composites, we believe that everyone deserves access to life-changing Assistive Technology - equipment that’s not just functional, but empowering. The right wheelchair can unlock confidence, freedom, and dignity. That’s why we’re proud to launch Wishes for Wheels in Australia - a program that gifts high-performance, custom-fitted manual wheelchairs to those who need them most, but can’t access them through traditional funding or support.
What is Wishes for Wheels?
This global initiative, founded by Motion Composites, provides ultralightweight manual wheelchairs to individuals whose lives would be transformed by a custom chair - but who may not have the means to get one. Now launching in Australia, one recipient will be selected every three months to receive a brand-new Motion Composites wheelchair - celebrated for its lightweight design, durability, and cutting-edge engineering.
A Success Story - Finding Freedom in Motion
After years of success in Canada and the United States, APEX Mobility is proud to bring Wishes for Wheels to Australia - partnering with local clinicians and community networks to identify truly deserving recipients. To understand the real impact of this program can have, meet Julian, our Round One recipient from Queensland, whose story captures what Wishes for Wheels is all about.

Round 2 Applications Closed
Round 2 of our Wishes for Wheels program has officially closed, and we’re humbled to share that Kathryn Taylor from Western Australia has been selected as this round’s recipient. Our sincere thanks go to everyone who applied and shared their story with us - your submissions continue to highlight why this program matters so much.
Wishes for Wheels will return in 2026, with Round 3 opening on 7 January for new applications. We’ll continue awarding a brand new wheelchair every three months to a deserving recipient, creating meaningful impact throughout the year.
