The ergonomic height-adjustable backrest has a unique structure which provides correct alignment to the trunk and a high level of stability without the need of side supports. The Tilt & Recline feature makes it possible to obtain the ideal support position. When you change the tilt of the leg rest and back rest, hip and knee joints will not change. It also positively affects blood pressure by improving oxygenation in the skin and muscle tissue. Tilt & Recline functions are operated by two independent gas springs that absorb body weight and make it easy to be handled by the caregiver. Unique semi-elastic cords are highly breathable, allowing air to flow for an optimal micro-climate. This design adapts to any type of body shape and weight and provides considerable reduction in pressure peaks. Even after one hour from positioning, the seating cords continue to maintain their shape and pressure loading decreases. The special seat and back cover is made from fire-retardant material which is highly breathable, tough (maximum resistance to rubbing), yet breathable and anti-slip (an exclusive Ormesa formula). Seating covers come in long-lasting and highly resistant colours; they are resistant to sweat, light and can be dry cleaned or washed in washing machine. The multi adjustable headrest provides stability, without obstructing the lateral movement of the head. The headrest follows the shape of the backrest, thus assuring the proper alignment between head and trunk. Adjustable in height and depth. All adjustments improve the visual orientation. Made from anti-bacterial material with closed cells highly resistant to external chemical agents.
